DJDeedle's Favorites:

Here it is, the last Deedlecast of 2006, it's inaugural year. Not to worry, though. DJDeedle has all sorts of great things already planned for 2007. And though some may do it better, no one brings it to every week like your humble dj. Don't forget that DJDeedle brings it to you live once again at the Duplex diner Saturday, December 30 from 9:00pm until close.

Watch this space for more DJDeedle Live! dates and times. Goodbye 2006.

And a happy and healthy 2007 to all of you loyal listeners out there on the bunch of tubes they call the Internets.

In order to maximize your holiday joy, I've decided to post this a little early.  Deedlecast will return to its regular schedule on Friday the 29th.

Fruitcakes are an amalgamation and conglomeration of all kinds of things, some of which should never be placed in or near a cake.  This Deedlecast is an amalgamation and conglomeration of holiday music and all kinds of unlikely tunes that you'd never have thought belonged together.

Unlike a fruitcake, however, you'll want to experience this mix over and over again and share it with friends and family. Like fruitcake, though, you'll want to avoid putting this Deedlecast in your mouth if you can help it.

Caution:  Those who have an allergy to holidays may find that this Deedlecast may cause you to enjoy the holidays . . . even if just a little bit.

Program Notes:

Don't miss Deedlecast Live! at the Duplex Diner

Saturday, December 23 - 9:00pm until closing

and

Saturday, December 30 - 9:00pm until closing

If you happen to be hanging around DC for the holidays, stop by the Duplex Diner at 2004 18th Street NW on Saturdays, December 23 and 30 for food, friends, drinks and Deedlecast Live!

If you can't make either date, check out this Friday's (December 22) holiday podcast to hear what you're missing.

"Why David Hasselhoff?" you ask.  Why not?

It's been well documented that:

He has even less musical talent than John Tesh... His television shows are unwatchable... and yet He's one of the world's most popular stars... how has He done it?

I submit David Hasselhoff is the AntiChrist.

Caution:  Hasselhoff's evil influence has placed a rude word or two in this Deedlecast.

What?!  A Deedlecast entirely devoted to that second-rate talent, Justin Timberlake.  The N-Sync guy?  Teenage girls rejoice.  Well, mash him up with other mediocre talents like Debbie Harry, Fergie, Robert Palmer, and Corey Hart, and you certainly get more than the sum of their rather talentless parts.

Warning:  Justin uses a rude term in this Deedlecast.  But then, what do you expect?

Willie Nelson, U-2, Pussycat Dolls, INXS, Harry Belafonte, the Bangles, the Beach Boys, Billy Joel, Eminem, Shakira, C&C Music Factory, Johnny Cash, Will Smith, Kelly Clarkson, Chris Isaak . . .  What in the world are they doing in one place, let alone the same songs?  This is truly confused.   Trust your dj, though, it works!
